Hand Painted patterns with lots of movement are created with Mordant Paste combined with Plant extracts and over dyed with plant dyes. We use Pomegranate Shell, Osage, Buckthorn, Madder Root and Cutch Dyes.

Medium weight, soft linen, Two Sided Pattern

18x18” or 12x20 “ lumbar pillow, hand cut and sewn. Feather insert, brass zipper closure

Each dye bath is unique and will have a slight fluctuation. Our textiles show the uniqueness of the dyer through irregularities and variations. These are considered beneficial characteristics and and an expression of the dyer. As with all hand dyed fabric, there will be some tonal shifts and unique qualities in each piece.
