Wabi Sabi in the City

It’s more than safe to say that I embrace whole heartedly a Wabi~Sabi way of life. I tend to like things that are similar but different - not just useful but unique. In other words… Wabi~Sabi, finding beauty in the imperfect and embracing the humble. Studio 105 in Arbor Arts Center is our new home for HETTLE, with it’s large windows, high ceilings and uneven floors I feel we are right where we should be. This first journal entry marks a new beginning for Hettle, the launch of this website, a bright new studio space and a community for us all to join. We still believe your home is your refuge and everyone should always have a soft pillow to lay their head on. Fine fabrics and unique design from a modern perspective is the mission. Every product is made by hand, with quality fabric, craftsmanship, and good design. Casual & cozy for everyday use.

What I design and make today highlights my desire to always see the human element in my work. The beauty of imperfection and the integrity of natural objects and processes. We are focused on sustainability and adding quality to your life over quantity. There is so much in store for the future! We are excited to stretch and grow beyond our wildest ideas, we hope you will join us for the ride.
